One Hour
Okay, I finally didn't care about the crime that was taking place in Numb3rs - and it was all because of the sofa:

Charlie: I did some local analytical models of packeted retransmissions for several services.
Amita: *pretends to be impressed and a condescending voice* Would you like to tag along?
Charlie: Only if you don't think I'll be in the way.
*he follows her out like a dog on a leash*

After that, I just watched the scenes with Don. I didn't care about anything else, because they were going to Amita for help with Charlie had been shown to be doing highly advanced computer work for the FBI THIS season.

If THAT is what Dareal, Nick, and Cheryl were referring to in something that's going to improve people's opinions on Amita - they failed miserably.

Yeah, I found that scene to be particularly infuriating as well. But as I was explaining to my dad the other day, the only thing that could really improve my opinion of the Amita character at this point would be if she was killed off or if she left. They've ruined the character beyond repair.

I still loved the episode-- thank deities the rest of the team was on the mark. My favorite part was Don's half of the plot; I've been waiting to see that all season. :D

And no offense to dareal or the writers, but I know better than to believe everything they say, so I was not reassured by his post a couple of episodes back that things would improve. You simply cannot promise things like that, because not everyone wants the same thing. If things "improved" the way we wanted, the Amita fans wouldn't think it an "improvement." ^^; It's just the way it works.

I think Dereal said in a post on Numb3rs .org that they were positioning Amita to be smarter that Charlie at times so people would get that the character was also a genius. I was surprised that he would want to share his role, but maybe he wants to take time off and she'll be the genius they go to. I wish I could say that I care, but Tess, you're right unless she leaves the show or gets transferred to Antartica, there is no hope that the character could improve in my opinion.
